Monday and Wednesday Class Topics @ NETA, Mid March to Mid April

Hello Everyone!!

Listed below are special class topics for Monday and Wednesday classes with Armando and Nuria for the next few weeks.

Advanced Class, Mondays 8:30-10:00PM, March 19 and 26, April 2 and 9:

Tango Waltz: Giros with sacadas and rhythmic patterns. Different ways of initiating and exiting turns in combination with sacadas.

Wednesdays, 8:30-9:45PM, 4 consecutive Wednesdays, March 21 and 28, April 4 and 11

Milonga lisa (smooth). A clear method to start learning milonga and understanding the difference between lisa, contratiempo, and traspie.

Class Added Friday Evening: Vals & Navigation in the Milonga, 7:45PM

We are adding an additional class with Bryant and Faye this Friday March 9 before Adriana Pinto’s Tanguera milonga.  The class, Vals and Navigation in the Milonga will introduce some Vals figures, but will focus on staying within the line of dance and respecting the space available to dance.

The cost of the class (7:45-9:00PM) and milonga (9:00PM-1:00AM) together is $20.

Nia at NETA March 11-16

In March, we will be hosting a week-long Nia White Belt Training program.  During that time (March 10-16), some of the classes will be open to the general public, so that you can discover what Nia is like.  See below for more information on the training, classes and an explanation of Nia.


NETA will be home to the Nia White Belt Training week this March. During the training, there will be lots of additional Nia classes to attend. Pulsing with the vibrant energy of the White Belt week, these classes are open to Every Body (even if you are new to Nia!)

All classes are $13 and will be 1 hr long. Classes will be led by Julianne Corey, except where noted.

Those who choose to pursue the path of personal enrichment use this training as a starting point for becoming a master student. The focus of this seven-day training is on Physical Sensation.
